Japanese Print
The print is a gift from the Rotary Club of Akita East in 1993. The tradition in our club is for it to be presented to the past president by his/her predecessor at the installation ceremony.
The print is a portrait of a Japanese poet Ono no Komachi from the 9thCentury. She was born in Akita prefecture and today Komachi is a synonym for feminine beauty in Japan. Past President Greg presented it to Lee.
Presentation of the Japanese Clock to the Incoming President.
The clock was awarded to our club from our Sister club the Akita East club in Japan in 1990.
It was made by a member of their club from Cherry bark from the Akita region of Japan.
