Tonights Speakers are the RYLA Students
RYLA is a Student Leadership Conference that we send selected students from different schools to in Tacoma. It has been happening for 47 years and sounds amazing.
This year we sent 4 students, Emily Simpson, Gr 11 from John Barsby, Ramneek Gill Gr. 11 from John Barsby, Haley Carolan Gr 12 from Dover Bay and Sultan Bakyt Gr 10 from Woodlands. These students are wonderful speakers and spoke of how much they learned from the event and who their favourite speakers were. They talked about it giving them more confidence, and inspiration. They all were very thankful for this amazing experience and were going to share with other students they knew to go if they ever had the chance. Sounds like the students even learned to juggle!
Next weeks meeting at the Longwood Brew Pub. Kat -- Pet Detective!!!
