Program:
Ewan Anderson was our speaker tonight and he was introduced by his mother Shelia. Ewan lives in Victoria and he is an archaeologist. He is a diver and with others like him, explore the underwater environment with the goal of increasing scientific knowledge about our BC historical sites. They are citizen scientists that give up their free time to enhance our knowledge of BC's underwater archaeological areas.
By documenting these sites, they can determine what shape the area is in and how it is changing over time.

One of functions of the group is to hold training sessions for divers. This includes new skills and instruction on tools available. This includes the amazing ability use photogrammetry to create 3D models of sites using a series of photos.
Exploring a wreck
Underwater survey traverses at Cadboro Bay as they look for a wreck suspected to be in the area.
