Rotary Minute
Colins Rotary Minute was entitled What is a Rotary Scholar.  They serve as an ambassador for Rotary in the host country and back at home will educate Rotarians about their experiences. 
 
Announcements:
  • On July 23, 7 of our members put in a terrific effort at the  Loaves and Fishes work party.  A no host dinner at the White Spot  on Terminal Ave. followed.  
  •  On August 20 our meeting will be at Gill and Chris Campbells at 121 Bird Sanctuary Dr.   Please advise Gill if you are attending or not.  Also has anyone let the Golf Club that we will not be eating at the Golf Club.
  •  Ed presented the 2019/2020 tot he club for approval.  The motion passed.  Thanks for your effort in drafting this important document. 
            The two brothers that carried a canoe to the Mt Everest   base camp to raise 175,000.00 to build a Womens' mental Health 
facility in Katmando will present a program to our club on September 17.
            A Wine tour of the Cowichan Valley is being planned for Saturday October 5.  The trip includes bus transportation, visits with wine tasting at 5 wineries and lunch, all for 130.00 each.  Please let Lynne Hannay know  if you are interested.
            Barney gave us an update on the Ale Trail program.  He is hoping for a launch by November.  Barney with help from Club members will seek out and find Pubs and Brew Pubs to sign up for this program. The cost of the cards to our customers will be 25.00 which will give them access to specials in at least 24 establishments.
