President Bill  opened the announcements with a Paul Harris award for Sheila (her 3rd).

 

Rob Talked about future family dinners at Bayview Elementary. Dinners will be premade Lasagne.

 

Ed  showed the framed certificate which he had recently received from the hospital foundation…..a contribution which the club had made in 2021!

 

Derek is looking for those who would like to do a baby talk, not a full program, something before the speaker but it could also be a back up if the speaker cancels.

 

Rod gave an update on Roger’s health and said that he likes to play cribbage…..if you have time to visit. Ann will attend our meetings when the weather is better

 

Sheila reminded everyone that she will be in Mexico for the next 2 months and will be preparing the bulletin from there but needs all the info sent to her.

 

Val Smith connected with the Ukrainians and the club and several members donated for their Christmas party.

Our very own Don Dempson gave us a very entertaining talk about his years being in charge of CBC’s production of the Calgary Stampede. We heard about the months of preparation, the weeks of set up, the thrill of the parade and the broadcasting of the events. Too much info to write here. The photos speak for themselves.
