Announcements:
Jim: 44 tickets have been sold for the Beer and Burger - find more people to attend! there are 28 auction items including 2 murder-mystery nights and enough gift cards ( but we could always do with more) Vicki volunteered to contribute 12 butter tarts but was persuaded to make 24 which will be for auction in 3 sets of eight.
Larry : a reminder that next week (Tuesday 26) is Loaves and Fishes night . Please complete the on line form if you are planning to attend.
Rob reported that we had 36 or 37 for the family dinner at Bayview last week
Bill reminded us that the next meeting on Dec 3 is our AGM. Please attend.

Program:
Derek introduced Cheryl Booth, Executive Director, Nanaimo Child Development Centre. Cheryl gave a very detailed talk about the purpose and functions of the Child Development Centre. ( Eds note - something else I previously had known nothing about). The work done by the centre is far reaching and needs are increasing . The big need is a new building to host all of the services.
