  • Ed Poli announced that the Beer n Burger on April 30th raised $2040.
  • Don Dempson said the Earth Day event at Barsby school on April 27th was well attended (see story below).
  • Gill Campbell said that 60 shifts will be needed for the Dragon Boat Festival July 5-7.
  • president-elect Barney Sharp  asked that members notify him about their choices of committees to serve on next RY
  • Joan Ryan said that RYLA Vancouver Island will be on November 15th 
  • Jim Turley announced that June 18 will be installation night for Barney Sharp & his new executive
  • former member Don Wallace has moved into Eden Gardens
  • Derek Rickwood will be exhibiting the "We are all one" painting at D5020 Conference & Training in Victoria
The image of a painting representing youth exchange, entitled, ‘We Are All One’ was used by Craig Gillis, District Governor as gifts for the key note speakers and his conference committee members.
